A 25% deposit is required once your booking is confirmed with the balance payable 3 weeks before your start date - or full payment is required if you are booking within 3 weeks of the commencement date of your stay.

We also require a £150 damage waiver payment with your deposit. The damage waiver will be returned within a few days of your checkout. This is just a precautionary measure on our part against any major incidents. We will not usually make any deductions for minor breakages.

Cancellations: We are happy to refund your full amount if you cancel up to 2 weeks before your arrival date. For cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to your arrival, we will deduct your 25% deposit (unless we are able to re-book your cancelled dates, in which case we are happy to refund your full amount).

My family stayed at Old Pound Yard for a weekend whilst visiting Cambridge. The house is obviously very newly decorated to a very high standard and is immaculate. The kitchen is kitted out with high quality appliances and is well supplied with everything you need to cook or bake. The décor is completely co-ordinated throughout with lovely art and lighting features. There is lots of space for 6 people to lounge around the house, sit in the very large garden or sleep! With 6 people it is good to have the two bathrooms and the cloakroom downstairs. The owner is very thoughtful and has tried to think of everything you may need for a comfortable stay. She lives next door, so if anything more is needed, she is available. It is very accessible to Cambridge which is a short drive away or better still the train is close by! I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Cambridge and intend to return myself!

The house was very well appointed, the owners had really thought about what we might need and provided extras not always found in holiday let properties e.g. a welcome hamper and spare toiletries. The house is located on the edge of Cambridge but in a village with a variety of pubs, restaurants and shops. We had a lovely stay.

Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We all loved the house. Such a lovely place to come and spend a weekend away. Everything about our stay at the house was wonderful!
Elise was incredibly helpful from the start offering us information sheets on how to travel to the house, what facilities there were and local information.
The house is beautifully furnished with everything you could possibly need and more - even a cake stand for our afternoon tea!
Each room is beautiful with stylish decor and the garden is lovely and has a patio to sit out on.
We were welcomed with a hamper of goodies and a fridge with all the basics which was very generous.
There are shops and a pub nearby plus the train to Cambridge is a few minutes walk away.

I cannot recommend a stay here enough, we only wish we had stayed for a week instead of just the weekend!

Old Pound Yard is a private driveway in the High Street, Great Shelford. There is off road parking for up to 3 cars and a secluded walled garden.

The house has been completely refurbished to a high standard and is fully equipped with all home comforts. Managed by the owners, who also live in the village, the house has 3 comfortable bedrooms accommodating up to 6 people, 2 bathrooms, a living room and separate snug both equipped with wi-fi / Sky Q, a fabulous kitchen/diner overlooking the garden, a well equipped utility room and downstairs cloakroom.

2 Old Pound Yard is a perfect home for anyone visiting Cambridge whether for business or leisure. The best of both worlds it offers close proximity to the centre of Cambridge, Addenbrookes Biomedical Campus and Cambridge University, whilst being in a lively village, close to the countryside and with all amenities on the doorstep. With Waitrose, excellent Farm Shops and rural attractions all a short drive away, it is easy to see why Great Shelford is one of the most sought after villages.
