We have had a lovely, relaxing time at The Bothy and loved exploring the area and would like to return some time, we completed some great walks and I did some tough cycling.

About The Bothy Holiday Cottage in Swaledale

The Bothy is located near the village of Healaugh in the centre of Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, approximately ten miles from Richmond. It’s one of two Swaledale Cottages, oldest dating back to the 18th Century, modernised and renovated to a high standard, without destroying the qualities that give them their character. The Bothy lies in a secluded location in private grounds up a tree lined drive, a third of a mile long.

The lounge enjoys splendid views over the valley with the accommodation also including a dining/kitchen, bathroom with bath/shower and double bedroom.

Heating is by slim line electric storage radiators and a log effect electric stove. Hot water is provided by an electric immersion heater. There is garage parking for one vehicle.

Shops, Post Office and pubs are within two miles.

An ideal romantic getaway just perfect for two in stunning surrounding with walks from the doorstep.

The Kitchen/Diner
The kitchen is traditional and compact and extremely well equipped to cater more than adequately for your holiday.

The dining table seats two comfortably with a view to The Bothy’s private garden and patio area at the front of the cottage.
Living Room
Tastefully decorated with wonderful views across the immediate farmland to the Swaledale valley and beyond.

Two very comfortable armchairs are positioned perfectly in front of an electric log effect stove which adds additional heat to the slim line electric storage heaters should it be required.

The electricity is on a meter, the initial £5.00 is included.

Finished in neutral décor and again with wonderful views across Swaledale.

All bed linen and towels are provided.

Bathroom with Bath, Overhead Shower, Sink and Toilet

Light and airy modernised bathroom with shower over bath.

On approach to The Bothy you will see garage parking to your right. This can also be used for the safe storage of outdoor equipment such as bikes or climbing gear.

The Bothy has its own private garden and patio area at the front of the cottage.
